In March 2021, most of the key industrial indicators surveyed by the REB looked very optimistic, for example, the diffusion indices of wages (59%) and output (53%). The diffusion order book index has not been so high since 2012 – 58%, while the similar index of finished goods stocks, on the contrary, has not been so low since 2009 – 32%. The capacity utilization rate (86%) repeated its maximum of December 2020 – a record for the entire 30-year history of observations.

Many three-month expectations look no less optimistic. The diffusion index of expected changes in wages reached a 6-year maximum (68%), and employment – a 9-year one (56%).
